Ana Mercedes Galarza Añazco (born September 23, 1989 in Ambato, Tungurahua, Ecuador[1] in 19) is a beauty pageant titleholder who competed the Miss Ecuador 2010, and placed first runner-up.

Miss Ecuador 2010

Galarza is a student of Psychology in the Pontificia Universidad Cátolica del Ecuador. She is also the first woman from Tungurahua to be crowned Miss World Ecuador.[2] Miss Ecuador 2010 was broadcast live from CEMEXPO, in Quito. During the she received high scores from the judges in the areas of competition and she was the favorite to win the crown, but Lady Mina from Guayaqil won the national title.

Miss World 2010

As the first runner-up of the Miss Ecuador 2010 beauty pageant, Galarza has earned the right to represent Ecuador in the Miss World 2010 pageant.[3] She has remainded on Top 20 in Miss World Talent, but she unplaced on top 25.
